An integral part of running the gallery is the constant re-hanging of the exhibition areas and our hanging team are experts!
Not only does the artwork have to flow in colour but themes, size and frames have to be highly considered as well and when you have a group of artists all working in different styles and media, it can be quite challenging at times but they never fail to make the gallery look amazing. It is an often commented statement by our visitors.
Our current group exhibition 'Re-Group', which involved the whole gallery being changed over, was hung with a couple of our new resident artists getting some expert advise from a couple of the regular 'hangers'. Sara Cope, our young and newest resident artist, is under the mentorship of the gallery through the Regional Arts Victoria Grant and was a great help with this hanging project, adding another element of gallery procedures to her growing knowledge of art making.
We were grateful to 'The Chronicle' for covering this gallery event for the public to enjoy.
